Alles anzeigenHi Steve,
The article that I came across begins on file page 26 (magazine page 24) of the December 1957 issue of the Soviet "Radio Magazine." They appear to be talking about the transmitter on file page 28 (magazine page 26). A photograph of what appears to be a battery/powere-supply appears on page 25 of the magazine and a shot of what may be the entire electronics package appears on page 26 of the magazine.
I see what appears to be a large vacuum tube mounted to the top. As a wild guess it may be part of the instrumentation circuitry or perhaps the transmitter keying multivibrator? Of course this photo may be of a later project. For example, a photo of what appears to be Laika, the space-dog, appears on page 29 of this magazine issue.
Oleg, would you be so kind as to tell us if there is any useful technical information in the text of this article?

Click-on ''Radio'',1957,N12.[djv].zip. The "zipped" issues are in DJVU format.
BTW, the Sputnik cover art appearing on this issue might look good on a special event QSL card.
