    THE 1 WATT GAME 2025 - PART2

    I. OBJECTIVE: A short QRPP CW game on the 20 meterband. All radio amateurs and SWLs are cordially invited.

    II. DATE: Saturday 11 October 2025 from 0900 to 1200 UTC.

    III. BAND: 20 meter band only. 14.060 MHz +- 10 kHz.

    IV. POWER: maximum 1 watt.

    V. OPERATION: Only CW (A1A).

    1. CALL: CQ 1W

    2. EXCHANGE: RST / POWER / LOCATOR

    ie. 559/1w/ JO21LA. Additional info like power, RTX, antenna,... is welcome.

    VI. SCORING:

    First calculate the distance of each QSO.

    QSO points = distance divided by the power of the other station (in watts).

    Power less than 1 watt is equal to 1 watt in the points calculation.

    Eg. your counter station is 2000 km away and uses 5 watt. Then the point count for this qso is: 2000/5 = 400 points.

    Eg. your counter station is 3000 km away and uses 1 watt. Then the point count for this qso is: 3000/1 = 3000 points.

    Eg. your counter station is 3000 km away and uses 300 milliwatt. Then the point count for this qso is: 3000/0,3 = 10000 points.

    TOTAL SCORE: Sum of all QSO points.

    The use of simple antennas is highly recommended.

    Add the text: Me, (your call) , I declare that I managed a total of XXX QSOs, my total result is XXX points.

    Please add your best DX (call and locator) station-info: locator, power, RTX, antenna. Pictures of your set-up are appreciated.

    VIII. GAME REFEREE: Peter Kempenaers (ON6KZ/OO7Z). The Game Referee has the right to request full log in case of any doubt.

    IX. LOG DEADLINE: 25 October 2025.

    X: Nominees: award for the winner, the best DX, funiest location (if outdoor), original home brew, lowest power.

    Das schöne an einheitlichen Standards ist, dass man so viele verschiedene zur Auswahl hat.

    Vielleicht ist ja mein Englisch ein bisschen eingerostet, aber...heißt das, dass meine eigene Leistung immer mit 1Watt eingeht,
    während die der Gegenstation auch kleiner sein kann und dann mehr Punkte ergibt?

    Wenn man drüber nachdenkt, macht es sogar Sinn.
    Ich kann meine eigene Punktzahl nicht dadurch erhöhen, dass ich eine extrem niedrige Leistung z.B. 10mW benutze.
    Falls ich dann tatsächlich damit eine Verbindung schaffe, bekommt das Gegenüber den Bonus-Faktor.
    Zu Recht, senden mit 10mW ist einfach, das Signal zu lesen eher nicht.

    ... und ich dachte dass nur mir das rätselhaft vorkommt. Ist unglücklich formuliert, denn es gibt ja die Bonuspunktberechnungen. Basis ist 1 Watt.

    In der Tat, unglücklich formuliert:

    Sollte besser heißen: 'If your(!) power is less than....'

    Ich denke Haiko's Problem ist so zu verstehen, dass man auch Stationen außerhalb des Wettbewerbs arbeiten und dafür Punkte bekommen kann,
    so man ihnen denn Locator/Power entlocken kann.

    Aus aktuellem Anlass hole ich das Thema nochmal vor: morgen, 11.10.2025, 0900-1200UTC, 14060 +/-10kHz, CQ 1W, 2. EXCHANGE: RST / POWER / LOCATOR, ... siehe #1 ;)

    Das schöne an einheitlichen Standards ist, dass man so viele verschiedene zur Auswahl hat.

    Ich hatte leider nur sehr wenig Zeit, konnte aber einige Stationen erreichen. Macht mächtig Spass mit nur einem Watt, in kürzester Zeit, mehrere europäische Länder zu arbeiten.

    Stn: K1/ 1W und 2*7m Doublet, conds ufb.

    Da werde ich bestimmt Wiederholungstäter:).

    Das war ein großer Spaß und die Bandbedingungen haben prima mitgespielt.

    Obwohl ich nur die Hälfte der Zeit nutzen konnte (über Mittag kommt man aus der einen oder anderen Familienverpflichtung einfach nicht raus), sind mir 15 QSOs geglückt, 10 davon 2x VLP, die hops lagen bei mir alle zwischen knapp 700 bis 1500km.

    Für die Teilnahme habe ich den 7300 auf 1% ~ 1W reduziert, Antenne unverändert meine triple leg nach DK7ZB.

    Ich freue mich auf Teil lll...
